FROM A GLOBAL VISION TO A UGANDAN MOVEMENT
The idea for CIP was born after international discussions highlighted a critical challenge facing developing countries: education was expanding, but youth unemployment remained high.
In Uganda, where more than 74 percent of the population is under the age of 30, many young people leave school without the practical skills, exposure, networks, and confidence required to secure meaningful employment or start sustainable businesses.
Recognizing this challenge, CIP developed a practical model that brings professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, and mentors directly to young people through schools, universities, vocational institutions, and community programs.
The initiative began with a small network of volunteers and mentors. Through their commitment and passion, CIP expanded rapidly, reaching schools, universities, and vocational training institutions across Uganda.
Since its establishment, CIP has trained more than 30,000 young people in practical skills, entrepreneurship, media, technology, leadership, and career development.
